Clear Stone is a dog pack previously located on the outskirts of the city but recently moved into the forest. These dogs are wary of humans and stay clear of them. They are wary of wolves or dogs not associated with their allies.

Relations

Clear Stone handles outsiders in a docile way only to become aggressive if necessary but overall neutral. They stay clear of humans as they are a threat to the pack and the pups. They try to not attack the humans unless necessary as attacking the humans leads to animal control being called. They are friendly with their allies and they protect one another’s pack from harm.Pack Relations- North Ridge: Allied

Culture

The packs respects one another and work together to survive in the city. Every dogs job is important for the survival of the pack. For a dog to join the pack the alpha dog should get to know the dogs skills in order to place them in a best suited rank. Superior ranks are given the most respect as their jobs are the hardest and the most skillful.

Courtship

The pack is open about Relationships. No one must ask permission to have mates, both mates must be within the pack, it is forbidden to mate a loner. Dogs can choose to stay or leave when it comes to mates in another pack.If a mated pair wanted to bear offspring, they must notify the superiors. The healer needs to know who is pregnant so they can keep an eye on them in case of emergency. The alpha needs to know so they can alert the hunters who would have to hunt more often for more mouths that need to be fed.

Ceremonies

The First Graduation is a ceremony given to a pup when they are old enough to graduate to become an apprentice. The graduates sit in a line and the alpha calls each of their names, asks what rank they want to be when they are older, and gives them a mentor that will teach them what they need to learn for that rank.The Second Graduation is a ceremony given to a pup when they are old enough to graduate to become a Scout, Hunter, fighter, or healer. The graduates sit in a line and the alpha calls each of their names and gives them a rank they are best fitted for using the knowledge their mentors had given them through reports on the skills the apprentices were taught.

Pack Territory

The territory is mostly of a city. Their camp is a abandoned warehouse which has a fenced in yard with a hole in the fence that leads into the forest. The windows are either shattered, or in tact with some cracks. All the shattered “clear Stone” is buried in the dirt to protect the pack and pups from injury or accidentally ingesting them.

Landmarks

The Warehouse

Thus is the packs camp on the very edge of the city. It is abandoned and large with many rooms and windows. These windows are stained to where people cannot see through them but the dogs within the building can see out of them without being seen themselves.

The Summit

This is the highest point of the warehouse. Stairs lead all the way up to the roof which gives the dogs a good look at the city around them and the ridge behind the building topped with trees.

The Rooms

The rooms inside the warehouse are every dogs dens. There will be moss beds or beds made of old blankets or clothes that each dog member sleeps on. The healers room is the biggest and has many beds inside of it.

The Yard

This is the fenced in outside area of the warehouse. It is littered with piles of cut wood, wood shavings, grass and gravel. There is a gap on the fence that is used to go in and out through the yard and over the ridge into the forest.

The Ridge

This Ridge is very climbable, it is connected to the city and is the way in and out of the forest. This Ridge is rocky and in the rain it can be slippery and dangerous.

Pack Law

• Be respectful to fellow packmates. If a dog is disrespectful they are given a warning. Three warnings would give the dog a punishment.• Don’t be selfish with food. Food is limited, and no dog should be eating more than they should.• Packmates can only breed with other packmates. If they breed with a dog of another pack or a loner they must choose to live as a loner or for the dog to join the pack.• Pups may graduate at the age of 3 months. Apprentices may graduate at the age of 6 months.• Pups should always be watched and accompanied by an adult.• Respect your packmates, your Alphas and your deputies.• No dog should hunt on a allies territory unless they are to help provide them if they are in need. They are to hunt in the city or on unclaimed forest territory.• Attacking an ally is highly frowned upon by both packs. This can result in the dog or wolf to be severely punished either by a death penalty or even exiled and chased away.• No dog should attack a human. This will result in the humans calling for more humans which will try capturing dogs using long sticks with a rope that catches the dogs neck and tightens the more they pull, or even nets and cages. Rescuing a pack member from this situation is risky and the pack cannot do anything to rescue the dog.

Pack Structure

It is important that every dog looks out for each other. The dog packs tasks are important for their survival as well as their rules and hierarchy.

Tasks

• Hunting

This task is done by the hunters. Hunters normally hunt individually or in small pairs. These dogs can hunt within the city searching through garbage or can hunt in the forest on unclaimed territory.

• Patrolling

This is a scouts job. They patrol the packs borders, some even Scout on The Summit. If they see something they either chase it away from the territory or they alert the pack of the danger. Scouts normally patrol individually or in pairs.

• Gathering

This is a task done by the Healers. Healers go out to gather herbs, moss, blankets and human clothes they find and use them for the beds they use in their large healing room.

• Fighting

This is a task mainly done by the fighters. In an attack, fighters are the first line of defense. They are the strongest in the pack.

• Teaching

This task is done by any dog assigned to an apprentice. These mentor dogs then teach the pups and omegas about the ways of the pack, and teach pups the skills they need for the rank they want.

• Pup Sitting

This is a task done by the pups parents, or caregivers. They supervise the pups, feeding them and keeping them safe until their services is no longer needed.

- Superiors
Alpha

The Highest Of Authority. They have the highest of experience and skills in defense, combat, and hunting. The mate of this dog would become the second alpha. Eldest offspring would become next in line to be alpha if there is no mate, and if they are of age and skill to take command if the current alpha could no longer lead the pack.

Deputy

The second Highest of Authority. They gave the second highest of experience and skills in defense, combat, and hunting. The mate of this dog would become the second deputy. Eldest offspring would become next in line to be deputy if there is no mate, and if they are of age and skill to take command if the current deputy could no longer be in the position.

Healer

This dog has the most knowledge and experience with herbs and medicine. They are usually very patient with their work, and they can be shadowed by an apprentice.

- Higher Ranks
Fighters

These are dogs trained in combat. They are the frontline in a invasion or fight. The lead fighter is the strongest with the most skills and experience.

Hunters

These are dogs trained in hunting and stealth. They provide the pack food and hunt small to medium prey such as rabbits, deer and large birds. The lead hunter is the strongest with the most hunting experience.

Scouts

These are dogs trained in tracking, and endurance. They patrol the packs borders and chase out anyone who is too close to the packs borders. They are very fast on their feet and if danger is approaching they can rush back to the camp and alert them of it before it arrives.

- Lower Ranks
Apprentices

These are juveniles ranging between 3-6 months of age. These pups are learning skills they need for the ranks they want when they graduate. Apprentices graduate at the age of 6 months, Healer apprentice can be an apprentice for up to 12 months and don’t have to be a pup.

Pups

These are pups ranking between newborn to 3 months of age. They have not learned any combat skills or hunting skills just yet and are always under supervision of a adult.

The widowed deputy woke up in her den extending her legs legs out to stretch them before leaving the dens warmth and exposing herself to the cold winter elements. It’s been a month since she found out about Carson's and her pups deaths, and she is just now beginning to get ahold of herself and do her job. For a month she’s neglected the duties of being a deputy that Carson had left her to do alone. It pains her every morning not to wake up leaning against the black void of his fur. Alfie had his moving up ceremony and has been a hunter for two weeks. He lives in his own den now and has been catching prey for both the pack and his mother, but has begun to neglect feeding himself. Alfie walked through camp and dropped a rabbit in front of his mothers paws. It was apparent to North that he hasn’t ate a thing in a few days just from seeing how skinny he was. “ Alfie, take it. You need to eat more than me. I’m fine now.” North coldly told him before gliding past him like a spirit. “I need to go on patrol, when I come back, the rabbit better be nothing but a pile of bones.” She threatened before leaving the camp.

Alfie was in shock at his mother's coldness and stared blankly at the camps entrance. Then again she was right, he needed to eat, and he’s been so paranoid about his mother’s refusal to eat during her grief period that he eventually began to stop eating himself. The two new apprentices Rider and Maya walked out of mothers den half awake half asleep. Rider was the one to notice mom wasn’t outside the den, or in camp at all. “Alfie where’s mom?” Alfie sighed, looking away from the camp exit. “She went out on patrol. Here, eat.” He nudge the bunny over to them. “I’m going out to hunt again.” Rider stared at his brothers body noticing how thin he became to be. “Alfie, no!” Rider bit onto his brothers tail and pulled it. “I may be young but I’m not stupid! Your not going hunting until you eat.” Maya agreed with Rider and stood in front of Alfie to block his way to the entrance. Alfie was not intimidated by their swrany sizes. “Let go, I’m going to hunt one for myself.” Alfie ordered and took a step feeling Rider’s weight be dragged as he did. “You said that yesterday, but you never came back with food.” Maya whimpered. Alfie fell silent for a moment. Rider released his grip of his brothers tail and he watched his figure disappear into the forest. “If I find him in the healers den later, I’m going to give him the biggest ‘I told you so’ that he’s ever gotten,” rider grumbled to Maya as she nudged her brothers rump to help him stand. “You and me both, Rider.”

The sounds of birds chirping and a gentle breeze has caused the ears of the healer to wake up and perk to listen as his body layed relaxed inside the warm den of his and his mate. It was until the sounds of yelling and fighting when his eyelids opened and his initial reaction was to lift his head. His eyes went from the sight of birds previously perched in the trees silence their songs and fly off somewhere quieter to rest and landed on the alpha’s den. He was not the slightest bit surprised, Heaven’s son has not been the easiest to deal with and Heaven has been only tolerating his behavior for some time now but his behavior only gotten worse. Rather than get involve in family matters that we’re not his own, the male’s jaw gaped as he released a yawn and stretched ever so carefully to not wake his mate by his own actions. As the yelling echoed off the trees and bounced around the camp the male took a few steps out of the den and sat in a patch of sunlight. The light made his pelt shine gold and it’s warmth was refreshing. Thoughts had begun to wake up in his mind as well, grabbing their lists and scripts and spoke their opinions and ideas to the wolf. One question he had floating amongst them all was if he still thought of wanting pups of his own. Then that little bit of peace was taken from him when from the corners of his eyes his mate at the same time as Takoda left the dens and stared at each other all while Takoda yelled about her being in the pack. The wolf really did not want to intervene, he was not about conflict, but the son of Heaven just disrespected the love of his life, and he was not going to ignore that. He moved his large body to stand alongside Ayana, the muscles on his face twitched and flexed as he held back a growl. This has gone on for far too long, and it was beginning to take a toll on the pair. He gave up on holding back and a rumbling cane from his maw, a warning.  “There’s nothing wrong with a dog being in our pack. She’s been nothing but a blessing for the pack.” He glances back at his apprentice his eyes and muscles softening.  “and myself.”

Slowly, the male crept through the snow low to the ground and kept to the shadows so their darkness could cloak his dark form from being sighted. His yellow eyes landing onto a rabbit that was nibbling on dead grass. It was beginning to become spring, and the snow of winter was beginning to melt away in patches. Your mine, bunny. the male grinned as he readied his limbs for a chase. Then out came a white blur that chased after the brown dust cloud of a rabbit. Shard was on the move with his hunt and Eclipse; he was enjoying the show. The bunny bounded his way when the dark wolf suddenly leaped out in front of Shard’s stunned face. The males head turned to his adoptive brother, his facial features faked a shocked expression that after a sarcastic comment, became only a smirk of triumph. His jaws held the limp body of a brown bunny until he dropped it at his feet and placed a paw on top of it as if it was a trophy. “Fancy running into you, brother. Were you after this bunny too? How cute.”  the white wolf abruptly halted freezing his body in the pose he was in that stopped him from crashing into the lurcher’s body. He held an annoyed gaze on his brother, his eyes half closed by his eyelids before blinking and moving them to the rabbit previously held in his jaws grasp. It took only a few seconds for his comeback to be thought of and spoken without barely a thought.  “If you think that was cute, you should see yourself competing with me.” with that, the male walked away while maintaining his calmness. The retort definitely was a good one; the new pack wolf can admit that, but was he competing? It may just look like it to his adoptive brother, but to him he was merely annoying him. He was the reason why he even joined this pack. He wants nothing else other than to break his brother. He finds his purity repulsive, and seeks to destroy it as did he with his chances to be a future alpha of mothers pack.The wolf walked through the forest with his kill still in his jaws. It was until the sight of the deputy caught his eyes did he pause and stare quietly. Her figure was graceful, though her face still was pained. Ever since he joined she barely left the comfort of her den, when she did her face was miserable. Her being out and patrolling this morning is a loud signal to him that the she wolf is a strong willed fea who is on the verge of winning her battle with grievance. wouldn't she be something great to stand beside while in command? He shook his head violently as he realized what he was thinking and as an attempt to rid  it from his mind. As he did this, without even realizing; the rabbit he was carrying flew from his grasp. Dumb fool, what are you thinking!? Silently, the male retrieved his kill. He looked up and noticed he was in the presence of the deputy herself. He threw his kill onto his shoulders so he could talk freely then trotted alongside the female with a dumb grin. “Look who decided to be a productive member of society this morning..”

North flinched by the sudden Eclipse walking alongside her but she continued to walk and never looked in his direction. “Shouldn’t you be hunting or more importantly, being useful? Don’t waste your time with me.” North said with a cold truth backing up her words. She hasn’t been herself since her return, and acts as if she’s changed in some way. She quickened her pace in an attempt to end the conversation then and there so she can do her patrol in solitude.

Alfie trotted through the snow with his nose high in the air sniffing for a scent of something, anything. Winter is getting closer and closer to being over and all he wants is the prey to come out of hibernation and start reproducing so there were more of them.

Ouch.. The hunter thought just how cold that response was, either the cold got to her brain or she was just flustered with his presence.Her comment only boosted his ego. He wouldn’t leave so easily, even when her sharp blues glowered as they looked ahead and avoided his direction. “Can you not see the bunny that’s on my back?” He moved at a steady pace with the deputy; his movements fluid. It was until he noticed white wolf moved briskly to get away from him by increasing her pace. He smirked, and being blinded by his desires he too increased his pace to keep up with her. His legs further spaced out to cover more ground more quickly, and being larger than the deputy in height, it was very easy to keep up with her brisk pace. The female's reactions to him began to agitate the male. He furrowed his brows and with a few fast movements of his legs he stood in her way. His yellow eyes looked dead into her blues. His stance was the same dominant stance he’d give to anyone if they challenged him back at his mother’s pack, and though he was’nt being challenged he still gave it to her as if she was ignoring an order. He has yet to grow out of those old poses, that mindset that he could get what he wanted through intimidation and manipulation, and it would bite him in the ass in the future. He frowned expecting so much less from her as he’s used to females being scared of him and his previously high status. He’s only heard of her being described as nice and caring, and yet he feels lied to. “What’s the matter with you? It was just a tease, don’t take it so seriously.”

North stayed silent about his comment with the rabbit and kept moving at a fast pace, no matter how fast she moved, Eclipse followed her like a shadow. He really isn’t going to go away, huh? North was forced to pause when the male stepped in her way, acting as though he was the one in charge, but that wasn’t what drew the line for North. His comment did. “What’s the matter with you?” Eclipse said. North stomped her foot and raised her tail high with authority and snapped back at him with hostility and disgust. “What’s the matter with me? Most of my family’s gone!! Show some respect!” Her hackles begin to rise as she gets more and more hostile towards Eclipse. “You need to understand your place in this pack, don’t think that you’re better than me just because you're not a grieving mother! I’m still the second in command and I have every right to teach you your place right here.” North was out of breath from raising her voice. It took her a moment to regain her vocal strength. “If you were smart, I wouldn’t test me, I gave you orders, now follow them.” She could care less about how harsh she was on him, she told him to be productive and following her like a lost pup was not productive at all. North maneuvered around Eclipse and eyed his rear for a moment, tempted to just snap at it so he could get going, but atlast she decided not to and ran a good distance off.

Perhaps he overreacted. All she was doing was just telling him to leave her alone, yet he grew blind to that. As the female turned hostile and threatened him the dark wolf began to expect her to attack him, tear his throat open and bash his corpse around for stepping over bounds with her. It is what he imagined his mother to do in this scenario, but she wasn’t her; No one was but her. To his surprise she never did such a gesture, but he can’t be sure that she had thought about it. If it hadn’t been her pitiful face that reminded him earlier, he would have forgotten that she was still in the grieving process. No thanks to myself,. He repossessioned his body so he didn’t appear so threatening, let alone in charge which he was far from being. He lowered his tail to be almost limp, and his hard frown dispersed to make his gaze expressionless as he listened to her frenzied yelling. Once she was finished, he cleared his throat and spoke, his voice soft and nearly unrecognizable from his normal tone of voice. As his voice went, his eyes moved away from her gaze and to the forest floor. “Then, I sincerely apologize for my behavior. I’m still adjusting to being in such a middle class rank instead of the high rank I had back in my old pack.” His ears flung towards her voice again, it was another threat. Gentle and understanding, huh? “I will go hunt again, and not cause you anymore stress. Take care, Dove.“ His eyes followed her movement past him. Without her knowing, he caught her glancing at his rear. He raised his left brow and grinned as she ran away into the distance from him. He did not know her real reasonings to stare, he only assumed she was fascinated by it. Well well, aren’t you foxy?
